Residential Renovation
2024
The renovation of this two bedroom home as a continuation of larger project which had been completed a few years earlier. This guest house received new everything... kitchen, bathroom, laundry and bedroom joinery, resulting in an area that felt lighter, brighter, more spacious and ready for the fabulous colour elements injected by the owner.
Residential Renovation
2023
With their children now grown and no longer living in the family home, the owners of this beach side property felt it was time to for a fresh take.
This renovation included an extensive exterior aluminum window joinery upgrade and new entry way, remodeling the kitchen, dining and living areas and renovating
both the existing bathrooms while also creating a third!
We also constructed a ground floor deck extension forming an exterior room including an outdoor kitchen.
We enclosed the space by using glass sliders and a sun roof louvre system.
Residential Renovation
2023
After 20 years of dreaming and planning the owners of this hill side property engaged us to carry out extensive renovations to the kitchen, dining and laundry areas of their loved family home. The rest of the house then underwent a full redecoration, which included the exterior, leaving the property looking and feeling brand new.
Library Renovation
2023
I have had the pleasure of working on the Middle Grange School site over the past 10 years and the renovation of the Library was by far the most visually rewarding as well as being the most technically challenging. The large timber Zenthe screens used throughout the area were transported down from the North Island and it took the full SBB team to install them. The finished result was a space that was bright and welcoming space while providing form and function.
Residential Renovation
2023
This job involved a renovation of the kitchen, lounge and laundry and the creation of a study nook. The house is now proudly displaying joinery units supplied and installed by the team at Architectural Joinery which provide the family with a huge amount of storage space. The clean lines of the joinery were complemented by fabulous large New Yorker style sliders which defined the living areas.
Residential Renovation & Extension
2022-23
This exciting build required us to fully renovate the existing home, while also adding a modern extension on to the back of the property, blending old with new to create a much larger home for the client. The client also took this opportunity to add a new garage on to the front of the property.
Residential Renovation & Extension
2022
The family in this existing character home needed more room for their growing family. By making use of the attic area above the existing garage we were able to create a new space which included two large bedrooms, a new bathroom and a laundry while keeping the traditional architecture of the original building.
Middleton Grange Homestead
2022
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, working on a home first built c.1854 and full of amazing history. We felt privileged to be involved in breathing new life into this beautiful, old building on the Middleton Grange School grounds.
Bathroom Renovation
2022
As part of the renovation to this Cashmere home, we began with updating the bathrooms, keeping the traditional feel and aesthetic by sourcing recycled Rimu for the panelling and skirtings which complimented the unique tiles chosen by the homeowner. A recycled claw-footed bath completed the classic look of this family bathroom.
Architectural Hill Build
2021
SBB had the privilege to be involved with this build from design through to completion. This build was successfully completed on time and within budget. It’s a great example of delivering on our promise of quality work while ensuring absolute client satisfaction.
Architectural Hill Build
2019
This new build was to replace a family home damaged by the earthquakes. Sam managed the client's earthquake repair strategies which resulted in the existing house being demolished and a beautiful new family home being established on the original building site.
